These amendments were known as the Reconstruction Amendments.

13th Amendment

14th Amendment

15th Amendment

The 13th Amendment in the constitution abolished slavery. Slavery was no longer permitted. Still to this day, it is prohibited.

The 14th Amendment gave citizenship to freed slaves. It stated that all people born in the U.S are American citizens inclusief African Americans.

The 15th Amendment gave the right to vote to all African Americans. It prohibits the Government in the U.S to deny the right to vote based on race or color.
