History of Greece
The earliest Greek people lived about 4,000 years ago. The early Greek people used to live in Bulgaria, Turkey and Greece. The Greek Empire spread over Europe to France. The Empire was most powerful between 2000 BC and 146 BC. Greece was split into different states and they each had different rules. The different states had different laws, Governments and money but they all had the same religion and language. The most important states were Athens and Sparta. The Greeks centred their whole life around the family courtyard.
