There were many legends in Ancient Greece Olympic boxing, this is just one of them:
• Theseus, was a famous boxer and invented a form of boxing, it was when two boxers sat facing each other and beating each other till one was killed.
Boxing
Boxers used things called himantes, they were used to protect your knuckles and hands. They were about 3-3.7m long made out of ox fur. They were also used to cut the opponent every time they got hit.
Victory was announced when one player admitted defeat.
Boxing was introduced to the Olympics in 688 BCE
Boxers trained and competed at a place called 'kamma'.
