Diagonal Short Layer

The diagonal short layers technique, usually done on short to mid length hair, minimizes weight at the sides while maintaining length at the parietal ridge.
You will start with a wet drape, shampoo and condition, and finish with a dry drape. You will need cutting shears, duck bill clips, and a comb.

Step One: Isolate and clip away sections five and six. Create a guide. Layer the hair below sections five and six. Establish the front perimeter.

Step Two: Cut the remaining hair, connecting sections five and six with previously cut hair.

Step Three: Layer the top using one of the layering options for the top of the head. Cross check the cut.
