Marcelling
You will use a dry drape on your guest. You will need a marcell curling iron, comb, and finishing hair spray.
Step One: Brush through the hair. Starting at the nape, stand parallel to your half to one inch subsection. Place the strand momentarily into the comb held in your subordinate hand (teeth are turned up).
Step Two: Apply the iron to the top of the panel, approximately one inch from the scalp, and remove the comb. The hair is now lying between the barrel and the tong. Using the teeth of the comb, move the hair to the right or left depending on which way you want to begin the wave.
Step Three: While holding the hair in position with a comb, close the iron. Move the hair further in the desired direction to strengthen the ridge.
Step Four: While still holding the hair in position with the comb, rotate the iron away from you, toward the head. Rotate the iron back toward you and open the iron.
Step Five: Repeat steps three times.
Step Six: Slide the open iron lightly down the panel gently moving the hair into an S pattern, until it reaches where you want the next ridge to be.
Step Seven: Repeat the procedure, moving the hair in the opposite direction. Do this until the entire panel is waved and continue with the other layers.
