Finger waving

Put the guest in a wet drape. Shampoo and condition the hair. Put the guest in a dry drape. You will need a comb, prep product, and styling lotion for the finger waves.

Step One: Comb through the hair and apply the prep product.

Step Two: Apply the styling lotion. Part the hair with a side part and an L shape at the crown of the part.

Step Three: Using your comb, take a small section of hair from the larger side of the part on the top and comb back. Keep your finger to hold the ridge and then comb the rest of the hair down. Follow this procedure to the back of the part.

Step Four: Do the same procedure on the other side of the head and then go back to the the first side under the ridge you already created. Start with the open side and form an S shape wave underneath the ridge.

Step Five: Use this procedure to create the rest of the waves and form them over the entirety of the head.

Step Six: Finish with a hard holding hairspray. Put the guest under a dryer to dry the hair completely.

Step Seven: There are two options to finishing this style. You can leave the hair as is for a wet look. Or you can brush out the waves.

Step Eight: To brush out the waves, start at the nape of the neck brushing down. Follow by moving up the head to the top. Finish with hairspray.
