Chapter 6

1. What do Jem, Scout, and Dill do on Dill's last night in Maycomb?

-The kids went Miss Rachel's fishpool and then went on a walk. But Jem and Dill wanted to go over to the Radley house and peek in the shutters, Scout did not want to go though, though she ended up going. The kids went under the fence to get to the house because they had a better chance of not getting seen. Then went through the gate. They crept to a side window and lifted Dill up but he couldn't see anything because of the curtains. Jem then went and peeked into the back window and they all saw a black figure. They all ran to get out and on their way, a gunshot rang out. As Jem was trying to escape his pants got stuck in the fence, he left them there. 

2. What does the man on the porch do?

-The man shot his gun into the air.

3. What happens to Jem as they’re fleeing?

-As he is trying to get out of the yard, he got caught in the fence by his pants. Jem finally just gets his pants off and leaves them tangled in the fence.

4. What does Dill explain the missing pants?

-He says that he won them from Jem when he beat him in poker, it was a bet.

5. What does Jem do in the middle of the night?

-He went to the Radley house(fence) to get his pants back.
