Major leaders in the Women's Education
One major leader was Emma Willard because she made the one of the nations first school for women. Her school became the rile model for other women's schools and her school prospered.
Mary Lyon is another leader because she made another school that is now called Mount Holyoke College. She was a significant figure because she accepted 4 women and it soon became the first co-Ed school.
Prudence Crandall opened a school for girls and she got a lot of criticism because she had accepted an African American girl. In response to the opposition she made her school an all black girls school so she got shut down.
