Major Leaders in the Women's Rights Movement
Two major leaders in the Women's Rights Movement were Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott. They started the whole women's rights convention called Seneca Falls Convention. They made an agenda and made detailed statements of grievances that were called "Declaration of Sentiments" in the Declaration of Independence. Because of their efforts on the Declaration of Independence, they were able to state that men and women should be created equal.
