Chapter 3
Question 25-Describe the role of the glycocalyx when cells interact with their environment.
The role of the glycocalyx is to help the cell out in every interaction it has. So what it does more specifically, its molecules either help the cell adhesion molecules(which help out in the embryonic development and wound repair), or the plasma membrane receptors, (which help out in contact signaling, electrical signaling, and chemical signaling)
