Question 22-Describe the chemical composition of the plasma membrane and relate it to membrane functions
1)The chemical of the plasma membrane, or the fluid mosaic model of membrane structure, is made up of a thin membrane. It has a double layer of lipid(fat) molocules, with protein molecules spread out in it. The biological membranes share a common structure. There are two sheets parallel of phospholipid molecules lying next to each other. They self orient and self assemble when into circular structres. This helps them reseal themselves when they break.
