1)The membranes that are involved are the parietal serosa and the visceral serosa. Their role in the body is to provide lubricating fluid for the membrane so they organs can rub against each other and not cause pain. Johns condition is painful because there is no fluid lubricating the membranes and the organs are rubbing together.
4)The thirst sensation is negative feedback, because being thirsty requires water, and the water is the output, and it reduces or shuts off the original stimulus, so it is a negative feedback mechanism.
