1) Anatomy-study of the structure of body parts and relationships to one another
Subgroups
1) Macroscopic Anatomy- study of large structures visible to naked eye, like the kidney, lungs and heart.
2)Regional Anatomy-study of all structures in a particular region of the body i.e., leg.
3)Systemic Anatomy-when the body is studied system by system, ie, study the cardiovascular system, then blood vessels of the heart
4)Surface Anatomy-study of internal structures as they relate to the overlaying skin surface
5)Microscopic Anatomy-studies structures to small for the naked eye, subgroups include cystology, cells of the body, and histology, which studies the tissues
6) Developmental Anatomy-studies the structural changes in the body through out life.
Embryology sub div. in developmental anatomy studies life before birth

Physiology-study of the function of the human body, how they work and carry out activities
Subgroups
1)Renal Physiology-explains the kidney function and urine production
2)Neuro-physiology explains how the nervous system works
3)Cardiovascular Physiology-studies the operation of the heart and blood vessels
