Laboratory Process Guide 2023

APPENDIX

Re-surfacing, NMP and HTC/Dynasolve

Below are examples of the NMP and Dynasolve re-surfacing results.

On the left-hand side is a passed
NMP test. The device is observed in good condition and the cotton bud has minimal removal of the top surface. This would be deemed a ‘Light removal’.

The two on the right-hand side are Dynasolve tests. One looks very similar to the NMP image and was also be deemed a ‘Light removal’. However, the one on the right would be described as ‘Heavy removal’. This would then be taken to SEM testing for further analysis of the top surface.
