Gen3 MUST3 Solderability Machine

Destructive?: Yes

Duration: PR9 10 mins – AS6081 30 mins

Description: For non-leaded package types (see glossary for package types).

The part will be held in a clamp and then submerged in a bath of molten solder for 10 seconds before pulling it out and cleaning it up. The component will then be inspected with a microscope and assessed for how well the solder has adhered to the terminations.

This test is conducted to ensure that when

the devices reach production there will not

be any issues soldering them to the board.
