Classification of epithelial tissue: two parts to their name
1.)It can either be simple(1 layer and used in areas that need filtration) or stratified(multi layered and used in high abrasion areas like skin or the lining of the mouth
2.) it can either be squamous(flat), cuboidal, or columnar
Pseudostratified columnar: nuclei lie at different points so it looks stratified. It lines the respiratory tract and other secretion needs
Transitional: forms the lining of hollow urinary organs which stretch as they fill with urine
Stratified squamous is the most widespread in the body
