Body Planes:
Sagittal Plane: vertical plane that divides the body into right and left. If it lies exactly on the midline then it is a mid-sagittal plane, otherwise it is called a parasagittal plane
Frontal/ Coronal Plane: lies vertical but they separate the body into anterior and
posterior
Transferse/horizontal Plane: divides the body into superior and inferior parts. Also called a cross section.
Oblique Sections: cuts made diagonally between the horizontal and vertical planes
