Gland Defenition:
One or more cells that make and secrete a particular, aqueous fluid called a secretion.
Endocrine glands produce hormones are release them directly into the extracellular fluid and from there go to the bloodstream or lymphatic fluid to travel directly to the organ the affect.
Exocrine glands produce a variety of secretions and secrete them onto the body's surface or into body cavities either directly or by way of a duct.
Unicellular glands release their secretions directly to whatever body cavity they are going to. In multicellular glands, the secretion travels through a duct in order to get to the epithelial surface.
