In the sevententh chapter, the community has an unusual holiday. On a holiday, many rules do not apply such as wellplaced bikes in the racks. Jonas is excited for the day as he puts his homework away. He heads out to find Asher. Jos found him at the playing field with many other twelves. They were playing a game of good guys and bad guys. In the game, you try to shoot eachother before you get shot. Jonas walks into the middle of the playing field watching in amazment. This was a game of war?!?! Attackand Counter-attack were the onlt two words that jonas had heard. Everbody stopped playing and went away after Jons stodd in the middle of the field for a while. The memory of the dying kid passed through Jonas's mind as Asher and Fiona came near him. Fiona asaked Jonas what was wrong as Asher just yelled at Jonas for ruining the game. Jonas told him not to play it as it was war. Asher didn't understand and he had to apologize after what he called Jonas in their argument. When he gets home, Jonas talks about the future release of an identical twin. His father explains that one will be released according to their weight. Lily then makes many crazy ideas of a twin meeting its twin that he has no idea of. Then Lily gets sent to bed after her crazy ideas.
