The Nova Reperta is a series of twenty engravings published in Antwerp in the late 16th century. The plates were designed by Johannes Stradanus, who is named as "inventor" on all plates. The frontispiece carries a dedication to the Florentine humanist Luigi Alamanni, a member of the Accademia degli Alterati and the Accademia Fiorentina.
The series documents technical progress in agriculture, military equipment, geography, arts, and natural philosophy. Many images in the series represent workshop scenes with artisans involved in various stages of artistic and technical production.
