Juliette Biree married Jules Jean Marcel Fromond in 1921. He was from Bayeux and had been wounded in the trenches during World War 1. He was hit just above the forehead by a bullet at Verdun. He was awarded the Medaille Militaire for bravery. The couple settled in Bayeux.
They had three daughters, Marguerite in 1922, Odette in 1924 and Blanche Marie in 1926. The girls soon enjoyed their visits to Vierville from Bayeux.
Juliette appears to have been a sensitive person who liked to paint. The watercolour of sailing ships in a harbour in the salon at Vierville is by her. She was lost to her family shortly after Blanche Marie was born.
What was to become of the motherless girls?
