SOME BUILDINGS INTACT
In fact by June 1944 there were still a few buildings left.
The chalet, however, had been razed as you can see in the photo below (British reconnaisance photo 1943). In the 1960s we found, bits of porcelain, medicine bottles and tiles on the grounds.
Some structures were completely untouched since they had specific use for the Germans...the Casino was used as a resting place for soldiers, the house in the cliff near the camp site was used as an army post and the house you can see behind the Le Gallois was a radio station for the Kriegsmarine.
