In 1950, Valentine Roulland the owner of the former chalet property died and left the land to the three Fromond sisters, Marguerite, Odette and Blanche Marie.
Also in 1950, Blanche Marie Fromond (Blanche) married an Englishman, Anthony Rex Peace (Rex). They married in Paris but soon thereafter sailed from Marseilles to Tanganyika where Rex had a position as a District Officer in the colonial government.
There was a second wedding a few months later when Marguerite Fromond married Bernard Le Gros in the church Saint Severin in the Latin Quarter of Paris.
